iPhone 3GS has boost YouTube video upload
First it was Flicker to get flooded with photos taken with both iPhone and iPhone 3G. The iPhone became more famous and an instant hit after being declared the most popular camera for clicking pictures.
When the iPhone 3GS was launched, I presumed that the device would exploit YouTube in a similar manner. I was right! Video recording feature on the iPhone 3GS is making the video content on YouTube grow by 400% per day (from mobile devices). The direct video upload option to YouTube on the iPhone 3GS seems to be the reason for this maddening race.
Going by the content quality of the new uploads, it is rather sad though. It looks more like people are trying to overload YouTube. What happens if you upload some video clips that are boring? It would just sit there idle with few or no viewers but eating up space.
Like it or not, the present trend is something like transforming YouTube into a platform for storing truly personal, boring and annoying stuffs that have no utility or fun value for others. Do you think YouTube would also start rejecting useless videos apart from those that are objectionable, violent and obscene?
