By now every iPhone users know about Bejewelled, reMovem, Firedrop and many of those block breaking games in the App Store. Here is a game that’s a little more puzzling and challenging though have the same game concept. 

Well, this one is a card game called Pathians that looks a little more like Solitaire and other solo card games. You have 72 cards on board and you have to clear the board by matching and removing cards in combination. 

The rule is simple, form a chain out of similar or adjacent value cards on board to destroy them. The more cards you align, higher is the score. The game saves your best score, this is one feature that lures you back every time to beat your score. 

To clear the board is very tricky; while destroying a long chain of combo may earn you lot of points sometimes it kills the chance to clean the board at the end. Thus this game is more of a puzzle that needs a lot of thinking and calculations. 

When you are sure that you’ll lose, tap on the card deck to start the game afresh. 

You are playing this puzzle to rescues a princess trapped in a high tower. The touch of chivalry comes there. 

Each time I play this game, new secrets of scoring more and strategies of winning keep on coming. Graphics and sounds are passable but not terrific.

One feature I miss though, is the option to deselect a card with a single tap. As of now, the game does not allow you to deselect a card once you tap on it.
