The Habit Factor for self motivation: iPhone app review

When I was young, my teachers told me habits can make or break people in life. I can still hear their lectures that habits mould character and character is man’s destiny.

the-habit-factorIn life we always wanted to do something good and to continuously improve our habit. It can be anything but we oftentimes tend to give excuses that we don’t have the time. And even if we get started, we somehow forget to continue because we couldn’t track our progress. To get us through all these hurdles, Equilibrium Enterprises, Inc. has released an app “Habit Factor”.

The app is very flexible and comprehensive. What you need to do is just create a goal, select the dates, when you want to start and by what time you want to achieve it. You can create and associate habits you need to improve/acquire . Choose the number of days and total time you want to spend in a week. Decide if the habit is related to the mind, body, or soul and you are done.

Everyday day, when you complete your work, assess your performance on how much you have achieved or have failed and leave comments for the day if any. The app will now track your progress. It will tell you how many days are left for you to continue, how many instances you require to achieve hundred percent, percentage you have already achieved. These are all displayed graphically.

You can even create individual habits and goals that are not associated to each other and can customize the graph, goal vs habit or habit vs active period based on your requirement.

Create any number of goals and habits and edit them(delete, change the order in which they appear…)

I personally like the option to set up goals. This could be anything, such as the total time you want work out in a gym, time you want to devote to writing etc. You can track all these in real time.

The interfaces are simple and user friendly, there won’t be any confusion in that.

You can never forget about your habits and goals. Every time you open your iPhone/iPod the badges on the icon will remind you of number things you need to accomplish.

Hello, I just thought I would drop you a line and inform you that your web site layout is really messed up on the Firefox browser. Seems to work OK in IE though. Anyhow keep up the great work.
