Wordulous iPhone word game here to entertain and test your vocabulary

If you have played Sextuple Word Challenge or Hangman and are looking for a more innovative and exciting stuff, you’ve found the right post.  I am going to recommend Wordulous from 99Games, which just got released. The game is a simple word game but with so many tweaks and choice you’d probably feel lucky having it on your iPhone.

wordulousWordulous would provide you six letters and leave you alone to figure out the maximum words you can form out of the letters. You are running against time in this game as you are in most challenging games. If you have played other similar word games, you can directly go to the Examination and Challenge mode to test your vocabulary and speed.

In the practice mode, you are not bound by time; your score would not be recorded too.

I like the Examination Mode the most. In this mode, you are rewarded for every correct word and are also penalized for wrong words. The challenge lies there. If you are not sure, you stand to lose some points and if you don’t take the chance, you still are at risk of being labelled as a slow loris in word games. You need to be a demigod of vocabulary to make to the top global list. You are given extra points for forming words having four letters or more.

If your score is kinda low, your vocab capability would be compared with that of a barber, tailor, joker, maid, etc.

Wordulous is a complete game in itself. The Challenge mode allows you to challenge your facebook friends and friends in your contact list to compete with you on the game. This is kinda neat.

The game play is made so simple too. To select a letter and to place it on the main tray, you just need to tap once on the letter. To remove it you need to tap on the letter again. Tap the button to submit the new word.

You have the option to shuffle the letters by hitting the shuffle button.  You have the option to change the provided letters when you have used all the six letters to form words or have formed a single six letter word. This is one reason why I consider the game as very flexible and engaging. You are not stuck with limited choice to break your head.

The super clean and simple graphics along with the soothing background music would impress you and the game play sure would mesmerize you.

Wordulous is an addictive word game for all ages to have fun, to test and enrich your english vocab.

Well, I like the game as it is. But for undoing, it would have been better if you have a back button; there I won’t tap on the letters again. Nevertheless, this is a good one.

Wordulous has got 3 different dictionaries to choose from (TWL, SOWPODS, ENABLE) and the provision to customize the word length. Wordulous also has ‘Challenge’ concept where-in you can challenge your Facebook and Phonebook contacts. You can see where you stand against your friend through the Global Leader Board
