Apple’s iPod/iPhone can cause fire: Learn your lessons well
We warned you not to do that! OK, it was Apple who instructed we shouldn’t leave our iPhone or iPod in the car on a hot day. Not for fear of Apple gadget muggers, but for fire safety measures. The iPhone can become super hot, the iPhone 3GS is the hottest of all.
Not doing what you are told to do could sometime be catastrophic. Here is a very costly example all the way from Sweden. A Saab 9-3 reportedly caught fire because the owner left an iPod on the car seat parked outside. It’s the iPod they are suspecting to be the cause of the fire; the fire started from the seat where it was left.
Investigation reports further claimed that there are no signs of negligence or technical faults with the car. Even the possibility of someone intentionally setting it on fire is ruled out. So the ultimate culprit is that unloved music box which has taken it’s costly revenge.
Oh yeah, they found the charred iPod too!
Hmm, it’s not only the iPhone 3G and 3GS that are hot, the iPod can create havoc too. This post is for all of us who are absent minded and careless.
