Card Tower: The House of Cards review

card-houseThis one needs oodles and oodles of patience. And while at it, throw in some intense concentration and skillful finger co-ordination too. Card Tower is a multi-touch technology game where you build stacks of cards on a table using two fingers. You garner points according to how much and how well you stack them up.

The menu offers you options like a personal profile which shows your best score, plus the number of cards you’ve used and time spent on it. You can choose your own preferences like earth or moon gravity, touch distance, and the background, which is either a room or hall.

A cool feature about this game is that you can take a screen shot of your handiwork and store it in the gallery. So you can brag about your score and show it off! Another plus point is that you can finally build a stack of cards without any pesky interference. You have only your clumsy fingers to blame, if that is any consolation.

This game is not for the restless or the reckless, or both. But just in case you are looking to acquire some sage-like patience, then this would be a good place to start. As for me, the restart option held great appeal, for each attempt ended in ruins rather than a tower.

You can zoom in and out and also pan the room using your fingers. The trick is in getting the angle of the cards right. You might just find yourself holding your breath for this one, lest you blow your own tower down!

Sounds really difficult…almost as difficult as doing it in real! But it looks really interesting and should keep idle hands occupied.
