Apple has acknowledged that overheating your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G is risky. You need to take good care of it (the same way you look after your mumbling toddler.)

Apple says iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS is ideal for use where the temperature is between 0º and 35ºC (32º to 95º F). Lower or higher temperature conditions can either shorten the battery life or make the device stop working properly or both. Here are some tips  to avoid overheating your iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS.

1. Do not overcharge it

2. Try not to play games while charging

3. Do not leave the device inside your car in a hot day

4. Do not leave it in direct sunlight for hours

If your iPhone is overheated, temperature warning would be displayed. There you need to put the device off, take it to a cooler place and allow it to cool down before using it again.
