You are part of an epic saga in which you have an important and life-saving role to play. You are the lone operator of a catapult that is going to swing the fate of the townsfolk between life and death.
It depends on your steely aim and determination to save them from the multitude of fearsome enemies who are out to quench their thirst for blood. You can fire your shots in two ways; tap on the screen to fire, or for a much easier way, drag the cannon to where you want to place your shots and then fire.
Make sure that the enemies do not reach the border, for if they do, you lose precious life of a townfolk. But do not underestimate the enemy too, for they come in all vile forms imaginable. There are dwarves and ogres, tanks and dragons, and more that you’ll have to vanquish with all your wit and strength.
Just as losing a life is a damper, killing an enemy has its rewards too. You get awarded gold coins which come into good use in a number of ways. To add to your manpower, you can fortify your catapult in a variety of ingenious ways. The curve ability even lets you curve your shots simply by tilting your iPhone or iPod.
There are 30 levels across two difficulty modes, and you don’t have the liberty of choosing the mode. You have to work and fight for the hard mode to be unlocked. But as you gain in aptitude with different abilities and even as the enemy becomes more formidable, it all amounts to making one intriguing game.
The little tips like getting a direct hit to earn extra points should come in handy. With the soundtrack blasting in full battle mode, Saga Catapult beckons you to leave behind a legendary victory.
