It’s not even two weeks yet since Apple released the iPhone OS 3.0 and also launch the iPhone 3GS; OS 3.1 beta and SDK 3.1 beta are out again. The company is not in a mood to stay idle even for a while, the several million download mark and a million sales stunt are driving them crazy or they have become really confident .
Everything seems to be going super good and these latest beta releases I am sure is enough to give Palm a surprising surprise.
Some of the features in OS 3.1 beta are:
1. While editing video files, the trimmed version can be saved as a copy without replacing the original
2. Voice Control works over Bluetooth
3. The iPhone vibrates when you shuffle the icons
4. AT&T profile updated to 4.2
5. Modem firmware updated to 5.08.01
In the new SDK 3.1 beta, there is an improvement given to OpenGL and Quartz and there are APIs to allow third party to access videos and edit them.
That’s a lot! Well, as usual my solemn plea to non developers ‘stay off from these beta softwares if you do not want a bricked device.’
