Initially I presumed it must be network problem whenever I am kicked back to the main page of iTunes while trying to redeem application promo codes. This also happens while trying to redeem iTunes gift cards. It actually turned out to be Apple’s problem not my network connection. 

I spend a couple of hours everyday on iTunes to see what are noteworthy, new and exciting and also to redeem dozens of promo code we receive from developers. Lately, redeeming of codes has become a frustrating experience with the process not working seamlessly as it used to, Apple probably has not noticed that. 

This is what happen to me everyday: I copy the promo code, hit the redeem link, paste the code and hit the redeem button. Thereafter, I enter the password of my account and click the redeem button again. Now, the normal step ends there and you’ll see the app downloading. 

Sadly, this one swift procedure ain’t working anymore. iTunes crashes for sure (100%) when you hit the redeem link for the first time. You are kicked back to the main page, where you have to hit the redeem link again, re-enter the code, re-furnish your password  and click the redeem button again. 

Redeeming of promo codes and gift cards have become a multiple step process and nothing is more frustrating than this one. Sometimes, you are required to redo the steps more than once. 

While many of you would not have noticed this issue, I tell you it is painful and also frustrating. Apple, fix that now!
