Launch of iPhone in China could further be complicated

china-iphone-delayedPossibility if iPhone launch in China has an added contention apart from the disagreement between the parties involved; Apple and China Unicom

In China, Hanwang Technology owns the trademark “i-phone.” The company manufactures electronic devices including phones. The latest speculation puts that it would be illegal for Apple to sell the iPhone under that name in China because of the similarity of the two names.

A absence of the dash mark and capitalized ‘P’ are not likely to save Apple if Hanwang Technology wants to protect their intellectual property. Apple was hopeful of flooding the Chinese market with the iPhone within the next year and here is another road block. Have we not discussed enough of China already

The Chinese company has not commented on what they would do if Apple announce plans to sell the iPhone in China.
