Palm Pre users want virtual keyboard that doesn’t exist

palm-preEarly iPhone adopters complained Apple for not incorporating a physical keyboard on the iPhone. Years down the line, we no longer hear of such complains. Many of us actually have now become addicted to the virtual keyboard. I even know some who would not be able to switch back to the use of physical keyboard (including me).

Forget about iPhone users now! It is actually Palm Pre users who are wailing loud for not having a virtual keyboard. Palm never thought this would ever happen. Pre users find sliding in and out the keyboard somewhat user unfriendly. I can understand that these bunch of users are concerned about the slider getting spoiled too soon.

Smartphone users really are hordes of confused human beings, seriously; we never know what we really want.

When you have a virtual keyboard, you start whining for the rather closely cluttered clunky physical keyboard. When you are given a phone with a clumsy physical keyboard, I still see you yearning for the virtual keyboard. The complaining goes on and a combo of the two ain’t the solution either, else those Android based phones that sport both physical and virtual keyboards be the most demanded smartphones.

Pre users; hopefully the next webOS phone would bring a fixed keyboard, would you be happy then? Not likely!
