Pick up monsters with Monster Patrol on your iPhone

monster-patrolMonster Patrol features a bunch of friendly little monsters who need to get home after school. It is your job to pick them up in your double decker bus. I wish I could let a kid use this application and see if he likes it. Because from where I see it, I am not sure about this one.

Simply rev up your engine and you are good to go. The bus works in the same way that toy buses are made; pull it back a little to start it. Let it loose on the board to bounce on the walls and pick up the monsters.

There are different levels and the color of the bus changes at each level. Even the background alternates between meadows and city streets and caves.

The good thing about this game is that there is no dying or losing, so that takes care of any disappointed and teary-eyed kid.  The monsters have their own names like Lil Goblin, Lil Franky, Lil Vampire, etc. They seem to be well-mannered too, for they say “Thanks!” or “Woo-hoo” when they are rescued.

Maybe this game could have been a little more challenging, like for example, in the way the bus is directed. But then again, games are also designed simply for fun, so if the little ones get a laugh out of it, I ain’t complaining.
