If you think that this dice game is all about luck, then think again. Yes, you are rolling the dice and you can’t really control how they land, but a lot of strategy comes into play too. Play 10k is about making the right choices and winning by getting to the 10K mark first.

You can play against your iPhone or with up to 8 of your friends. Simply shake your device to get the dice rolling. The 1’s stand for 100 points and the 5’s give you 50 points. A whooper combination of 3, 4 or all 5 dice, and straight 1-5 or 2-6 make you richer by 1000 points.

After you have rolled the dice, select the dice from which you want collect points by tapping on it/them. Be careful while you do this, for to win, your total tally has to be exactly 1000 points.

When you have played your turn, you have the option to either roll again or ‘stay’ with your current point. The other player or players get their chance then.

A dice game surely has to have a do-or-die aspect. In Play 10k, when you have just one dice left, you can pass your chance to your opponent. If he is able to roll a 1 or a 5, then you lose your points to him. But if not, then you retain your points and he loses his turn. I’d say that this feature adds thrill to the game.

The game kind of contradicts its name, for you can play for just 5K too. The mocking laughter when you fail to get any points at the end of a round is amusing. You can also change the skin of the dice and background.

Remember that the more you shake your iPhone, the more the dice roll. So get shaking your way to 10K!
