Sevens is an iPhone game for Sudoku fans
At first glance, you’d probably say this is another calculator app for you to waste your money. Sevens from Nigel Hanbury does look like a calculator with colored number fields that resemble number buttons on calculators. We are all wrong, Sevens is a killer game meant for those people who are heart and soul for sudoku games.
The developer says that the game is a remake of Sudoku. Yes, that’s true and here is what I add to the claim “It’s more exciting and challenging than any sudoku game I’ve ever played.”
In Sevens, you have a straight 7×7 single number grid unlike the sub grids in Sudoku. You’ll have to insert numbers 1 through 7 in the rows and and each square. As is the rule, you cannot insert the same number in the same row or line. The puzzle is complete when you have number 1 through 7 in all the lines and rows in the 7×7 fields.
You still think that doesn’t sound exciting enough? The additional game rule will make you reconsider your view. The number fields are all colored and there are seven fields each of the same color. You have to follow the non repetition rule while filling the fields of the same color too. Your challenge is twofold, to fill the spaces and break your head thinking of colors simultaneously.
You are also running against time if the game description has not impressed you.
To insert numbers, you simply have to tap on the number field and tap the number of your choice at the bottom of the screen.
There are three challenging game modes, Easy, Intermediate and Professional to spend hours of your free time on this game. There are no game sounds, but I feel it’d be a distraction rather than a bliss when I am trying to concentrate.
Sevens is a must have game for puzzle and sudoku lovers.
