I wouldn’t blame anyone who is bored and tired of the usual way of looking for a contact on their address book to call. All that tapping and scrolling is no fun for sure. That is why an application like Sketch A Call is a welcome relief from the mundane.

You see only hearts when you think of your loved one? Well, simply sketch a heart and assign it to her contact number. You can get as creative and crazy as you want and sketch any image, but for only five of your contacts.  If you don’t like your handiwork, you can always shake your phone to erase it and re-sketch.

There is a ‘memorize’ tab which you can use to assign the sketch to a contact number. Simply re-sketch any of the assigned image/script on the iPhone screen to call that contact. And if you are bored of the stored images, delete them and come up with something else.

A slight hitch is that you have to sketch images/scripts that are significantly different from each other. You also have to store more than one contact. I had a puzzling moment when every image I sketched showed only the lone assigned contact number.

There are applications to test your skills, memory, speed, etc, Sketch a Call is one application that test the memory power of the iPhone. A neat idea right?

On the whole, it’s fun, it’s creative and it’s easy to use. That should be more than enough to get your fingers busy sketching on the iPhone.
