Unicycle balancing game on the iPhone: FreakBike review
OK, this game is a combo of sliding tapping and balancing. You are going to learn how to balance on a unicycle (I made that part up) You are going to help dude perched on a unicycle for as long as you can.
FreakBike from Alena Kurulenko brings a unicycling excitement to the App Store.
The game is pretty simple but frustratingly hard to enjoy and for some of you it won’t be easy to beat the score of others players. You just need to hold down on the unicycle, slide left or right and let time whiz past. Lift your finger to make a neat jump to avoid the naughty balls from hitting your screen hero. The game terminates when dude falls off or if the balls hit the cycle.
You can tilt your device sideways to balance the unicycle too.
There are three game modes, easy medium and hard. The modes basically are the difficulty level of balancing. Be careful while selecting the mode you want to play, there is no option to switch modes easily. You’ll have to close the game and reopen it to switch game mode or submit your score even if you don’t want to.
The music is monotonous and kinda make you melancholic and lonely. You have the option to play your favorite songs, that’s the consolation. Adding of a painful groaning sound when dude falls from the cycle would be a sadistic fun.
Graphics are simple and are passable. You’ll see animals, planes and even superman passing by in the background.
The naughty rolling balls are the only obstacles. This game is superb for slow players as obstacles are very few making this a dull one for fast game lovers like Victor.
Addition of more obstacles and matching game sound instead of the boring music would make this game more tempting for all ages.
