Woman attacked for stealing iPod; attackers charged

apple_ipod_touchI use to think it is only muggers who would be willing enough to pin you down, smack you and finally run away with your iPhone, iPod touch, iPod etc. My presumption was wrong, iPhone and iPod owners can harass you for stealing their device both out of anger and love. You would even be water boarded.

Something very similar to this happened in Queenstown recently. 21-year-old Amanda Weaver found her iPod missing among other things after 22-year-old Ivy Lockwood stayed at her Queenstown home.

Ivy was the prime suspect of the theft, so Amanda called Lockwood home and an argument started. Unlucky for Ivy, there were three furious men to help Amanda get back her device.

Two men held a knife to Ivy’s throat while the third one dragged her to a nearby drainage and reportedly put her head underwater several times until she told them where the iPod was.

Queen Anne’s County arrested the three men and have charged them with attempted murder, assault, conspiracy and other offenses and are presently being held without bail.

It is probable that the men were not aware water boarding is violation of human rights. Moral lesson, do not steal Apple devices of all things.

And don’t think that the iPod touch in the  image is the stolen one.
