Wanna play a game that has no hard rules, need no active fingers and a bright mind but darn exciting? I’ve just found one in the App Store and I vouch all human beings are gonna love it for being so simple and addictive.
I’m blabbing about Aftershock from Silton Solutions people. If you’ve heard of chain reaction at any point of time in your life, you’ll do fine in this super simple game. You don’t even need to know what chemical reaction or nuclear reaction are, though the game works on these complex scientific concepts.
Here is the game: On the iPhone screen you’ll see small atom like colored balls floating around. All you have to do is to tap anywhere on the screen to start a chain reaction. All the balls that come in contact to the initiation spot would explode and those balls that hit the exploded balls would in turn explode forming an endless kind of explosion chain.
You only have to tap once on the screen after which you have to watch, pray, wish and fret that more balls come into contact with the exploded ones. There is a fixed time for the exploded balls to vanish from view.
The sole objective of the game is to explode as many balls as possible in all the 12 levels. The number of ball increases as the levels advance. Every level also has the minimum number of balls to be exploded to make to the next level.
I am yet to figure out whether Aftershock needs even a morsel of brain to play. I scored more when I randomly tapped without tracking the movement of the balls.
Aftershock is a game where you have very little control, better say you have no control at all. However, I am telling that the excitement I feel waiting for the balls to collide really sucked me into this game. It is mysteriously addictive and magical yet so simple and modest.
Aftershock is more of a mind teaser and anxiety tickler. I am sure you’ll always have time for watching the blasting and explosions whenever and whenever you have five minutes to waste.
