Control colored balls on the iPhone with Passage Control

passage-controlSomehow, it’s ironical that it should be difficult to be in control while playing a game with the word ‘control’ in the name. But that’s exactly what happened when I played Passage Control.

The concept is very simple though; we have to direct colored balls into the area marked with the same color. We can do this by moving the passage that runs along the middle and letting the balls pass through the opening.

There are two ways of controlling the passage; finger and accelerator control mode. In the finger control mode, the passage moves when you drag it with your finger. As for the latter, you simply have to tilt your device.

To make the game play more interesting, the balls are of different types. The normal ones are as normal as they come, but there are some balls whose sizes keep changing. Then there are those balls which change colors from time to time. You know that they are about to change color when their colors start to flash.

Going a step further are the balls which can change the whole game if you don’t keep them in the same section they started in. They come in two colors; the purple ones can dramatically increase the speed at which the balls move around, and the blue colored balls increase the size of the passage in the middle.

There are 80 levels of difficulty to plough through, so it will be some time before we can say we are fully in control of the passage. You can collect gold, silver and bronze medals along the way to ultimate control victory.

I think the paper and crayon visuals are fantastic. And the good news is, the graphics is not the only feature that makes Passage Control a fun game. Definitely worth shelling out $1.99 for it.
