Days Old does just one thing, and it does that thing pretty well. It told me that I am 9629 days old. I admit that it made me feel like some pre-historic monster because that number makes me feel like I’ve lived a really, really long time.
But it also gave me reasons to rejoice, for now I have more milestones to celebrate than just the mandatory birthday in a year. It’s too bad that I missed my last 1000 mark milestone in 2007. But then, the iPhone wasn’t even around then, so I shall let that disappointment go.
Days Old is very easy to use. All you have to do is to select your date of birth and the application automatically calculates your age in days. Rotate the device to the left, and on the screen will be displayed your 1000 day milestones. When you rotate it to the right, you can know the date on when you were or will be a certain age in days.
This is one of those applications that tell us something new about ourselves. I would have never thought to painstakingly calculate the years I’ve lived into days. Days Old is such a simple concept but it works great. It actually got me excited about being 10,000 days old a year on.
But for those people who are paranoid about growing old, the number of days might scare them, so it will be a good idea to stay away!
