Power Rush on the iPhone; a quick and easy game

Power Rush is what it says it is, a game which gives you a quick heady rush of power. I would list it as one of those games which would dispel short spells of boredom, but not for being engrossed in it for hours.

The game instructions are not difficult to follow. We have to guide a ball along a path of rocks in a downward motion. Simply tilt your iPhone or iPod Touch to do this. The ball has Life and Power; have both going strong, and you will be on the winning side.

The essential thing that we have to do is to keep it from touching the lightning bar at the top of the screen. A single brush with it decreases the ball’s life span by 40%.

The power feature is fun to use; just shake the iPhone to get more powerful. You need to have at least 25% of power to unleash the V2 power, and 100% to use the X2 power. You can slow down the rocks for a while with the former, and with the X2 power, the ball becomes invincible.

The life and power increases the longer you survive in the game, and there are 4 items to help you in your quest. Watch out and try to grab them as the ball spirals downwards. The red canister increases your life span by 25%, and the blue canister adds 25% more to your power supply.  Another canister provides you with a shield that will protect you from the lightning once. The fourth power lets you freeze the rocks for a while, so you can make a mad dash when this happens.

You progress to the next level once you pass a certain number of rocks in each level. The X2 power is a great help in surpassing levels quickly.

Like I mentioned before, Power Rush is a good pick-me-up game. I would say that is a like a quick adrenaline shot. Well, we all know what they say about power being momentary.
