It was just yesterday I wrote half  swearing that we would be getting iPods with camera on “It’s only rock and roll, but we love it,” Apple’s special iPod event. We were not made to see the very devices on September 9, if we are to believe this tipster who revealed that launch of the camera devices  would delayed. 

Appleinsider reports the person predicting this delay has a strong record of foretelling things right when it comes to Apple products. The reason cited for the likely cancellation of the camera embedded iPods is that the maker experienced technical problems with the camera modules.

iPod camera business is slowly turning something similar to the iPhone nano disappointment we had during Macworld Expo 2009. We have even seen real looking photos of the iPods with camera, seen the cases; nothing else is missing. With the event just a day away, the suspense won’t be long though. 

The consolation even if Steve Jobs doesn’t fish out a camera embedded iPod tomorrow is that we would be getting them later anyway.
