Camera; the iPod nano gets it not the iPod touch
Camera dream for the iTouch is shattered with all the expected features going to the iPod nano. However, it was good to see Steve Jobs back on stage if that could be any consolation to Apple fans and iPod touch worshippers.
Steve Jobs did say something in an interview with New York Times’ Pogue on why the camera feature was not given to the iPod touch. Jobs response harps on the fact that the iPod is sorta of the “lowest-cost way to the App Store,” the iPod touch being considered seriously as a gaming machine.
Steve Jobs also goes on to say that the company for now is focused more on reducing the price of the iPod touch to make it affordable for everyone rather than adding more features and making it a more costlier gaming device. We are destined to be happy with the price cut for now.
Well, the iPod nano gets all of what we’ve been whining for the iPod touch too. The “It’s only rock and roll, but we love it” special music event loads the iPod nano with:
1. Camera with mic for video
2. Sync option for photo and video to PC and Macs
3. VGA 640*480 recording
4. FM radio with live pause and tagging feature
5. Nike +
6. Genius Mixes
7. VoiceOver and many more
The price ranges for the camera embedded iPod nano are $149 for 8GB an $199 for 16GB.

This is seriously silly. Adding a camera on to the nano will just make that more expensive, and the ipod touch owners rather angry therefore making both the products the same price, only leaving the shuffle as the fairly cheap option. There basically just turning the nano into the itouch, how unoriginal.
