The genre of arcade-style games just got a lil more funkier and funnier with the entry of Escape of the Sausage King. As loyal followers of his majesty, we have to save him from the burning coals of the barbeque. We can do this by helping him move from bun to bun; a simple tilt of the device to the left or right achieves this.

We can choose from slow, normal and fast modes. Stepping on the pickles gives the king a bounce, and so they are safe too. But it is the spikes lining the top that are deadly, and also any wrong move that will land the king in barbecue hell.

Sausage King has great music that fills us with mock purpose to save our king. The longer we are able to keep him alive, the more we are rewarded with points. The graphics are appealing, and the king’s expressions are especially amusing.

The game play turned out to be harder than it appears, and it might be trickier to save the king than we thought so. And that’s what makes Escape of the Sausage King so much fun and engrossing.
