It’s time to pimp my ride on the iPhone. iDubz from Apps4Good lets us be vehicle customization whizzes as we take a basic model and turn it into our dream ride. And we don’t have to stop at just one vehicle, for we can come up with hundreds of models from the available options.

To start with, we need to pick an automobile to customize; we can choose from among a convertible, hatchback, van, pick-up truck and a gangster car. And then we can get on to change how it entirely looks by simply tapping on each feature and choosing a certain option according to our whim and fancy.

There are 12 rims to choose from, 11 colors for the body paint, and 8 snazzy decals. We can choose to keep or remove the kit, and also choose the color if we decide to keep it. After we are satisfied with the look of the vehicle, we can select from four locales to place it in. After all, we don’t want place a pretty convertible in a seedy neighborhood, do we?

We can save our artistic work for posterity. Tapping on the camera tab on the right side bottom instantly saves the vehicle image in our photo gallery.

If the developers hadn’t announced that they would be introducing a car show soon, it might have taken away some of the fun. How better to show off our handiwork than in a car show? They are also working on adding more updates which means more options, and that is good news too. But even as of now, iDubz is a fun application to have.

And because it is all about being creative, we can let our imagination go wild and dream up cars like no one has seen before. Maybe we can give those guys on Pimp My Ride a run for their money!
