I remember playing this game for hours with my brother, and I couldn’t have been happier to come across it on the iPhone. iTank Battle has the same game play and it even looks the same as the old tank battle game. For the controls, we can either play in analog or use gravity, and the latter is a new twist to the classic game.

The mission is simple and focused; blow up all the enemies’ tanks before they do the same to your tanks and your base. We can move in four directions. When playing using the analog mode, the controls appear on the left hand side of the screen. To shoot, we simply have to tap anywhere on the right side of the screen.

There are several power ups to help us in our tank rampage. We can freeze our enemies’ tanks, get our tanks to move faster, and also recover our full health. The cannon and missile are especially powerful weapons to attain. But it is the invincible and destroy-all-enemies power ups that take the cake.

Demolish enough enemies, and we move on to the next level. There are 30 levels in all, so that is a lot of game play to look forward to. There are three difficulty levels to play all these levels.

iTank Battle does not disappoint or dampen any of the old enthusiasm for the much loved tank game. I have to tell my brother about this one.
