I thought I had seen this guy somewhere before. He is too ugly to forget. And I was right, he is one of the characters from Mr. Dumb – Go Down. This game from ZENUX LAB is the third chapter in the Mr. Dumb series, and while he was climbing down a tree in the first, he has progressed to dining out in iChowdown.

But since he is dumb like his name, he cannot even feed himself properly, and it is in our hands to make sure that he chows down his food well. Mr. Dumb is visiting an all-you-can-eat diner, and we have to guide him through each step of eating, from ordering the food to even getting it down his digestive system. Be warned beforehand though, for there are more than high chances of him throwing up all over us helpful hands.

Honestly, I found going through all the instructions in the game a little tiring, but I guess the developers are just trying to make it easy for us. In each stage of iChowdown, we have two challenges; the main goal and the bonus goal, and the latter comes in handy to buy new food items at the shop.

The chow down part works like this – we use the Call Chef button to go to the kitchen and order the food. Touching the food places it on the order table, and touching it again cancels it. Mr. Dumb is worse than a baby; atleast babies know that they have to chew the food once it is in their mouth, but we have to drag his mouth up and down to make him chew. If we feed him more than he can handle, the pieces of food spill from his mouth, and we have to push them in. I know, I know, it is quite a gross job.

Mr. Dumb tends to faint from the exertion if we push in the food too hard, and the way to revive him is to slap him. No CPR here, for sure. If fire appears in his mouth as a result of spicy food, touching them douses the fire out.

The final step is to swallow the food; touching the Swallow button starts the digestion process. The gauge meter shows how much food he is ready to digest. After the food is digested, Mr. Dumb likes to wash it down with coke, and we have to help him by bursting the bubbles in his mouth.

There is a lot of food from different continents to chow down, so that makes for extended game play. The graphics are top notch.

iChowdown is a whole lot of fun, and I personally like it much better than Mr. Dumb – Go Down. The character is as dumb as ever, but the game play is much wackier and grosser, of course. A good job on this one, ZENUX LAB!
