BoboBua is a meatball’s love story on the iPhone
Love is blind to location. It can happen in a bowl of noodle soup too, as it happened with Bobo and Bua. Love is mostly tragic too, and so as the story goes, Bobo the meatball’s love interest Bua has been swallowed up by none other than a hungry and heartless human. Now Bobo has to plunge into the human’s body to try and save Bua before he loses her forever. To assist him in his lovelorn mission is Sisi the noodle, and, of course, we the game players.
The game play is quite simple; we have to bounce the meatball by using the noodle as a spring. The noodle can be balanced by tilting the device to the left and right. Bobo need to keep eating to maintain his strength or he will not last the journey, and he can do that by bouncing into them.
BoboBua (FULL Version) has two games modes – Story and Action Modes. While the Story Mode is about Bobo’s travels through the human’s belly that has imprisoned his girl, the Action Mode is more challenge oriented and we have to score as much as we can.
The Story Mode has more features thrown in with bits about Bobo’s saga of love narrated, and also variations in game play. I personally like it better because I find that it makes the game play more interesting, and involves the player more into the game.
How can we miss out on the villains? Here they are in the guise of tofus and bacteria, and Bobo has to remove them all out of his way to get to Bua. If the enemies touch the noodle, then the romance ends right there.
BoboBua has an adorable and fun story line, and the graphics bring it to life. The game play does not require any taxing strategy, but can be played in a relaxing manner. I just wish that there was a pause button; since it is not a high adrenaline rush game, surely that can be put in. But nonetheless, Bobobua deserves a thumbs up for all that it offers, and it is quite a tasty experience for sure.
