Here is something for the older crowd, old as in above the age of 17. Pin Up Rounds is from Madtown Games, the “developers of sexy iPhone games and apps”.  This game is supposed to be a take on the classic Simon Says game, but with girls and giggles thrown in to make it more interesting. I did not see how the game play of Simon Says is incorporated in it, but it works on its own as an entertaining game to lighten some boring moments.

The game play takes us to this screen shot of four frames and they reveal pictures accompanied with flirty sounds. What we have to do is to repeat the sequence in which the pictures are shown in the exact same manner. If we are able to do that, we clear the level and progress on to the next one. The levels get tougher as the sequences become longer and more difficult to repeat.

It is good exercise for the brain, but more than that, I feel it is the entertainment factor that will make people check out this game. As Madtown Games themselves declare, the reward is images of the hot pin-up girls. And if that is the only reward we are looking out for, then the game serves its purpose truly well. But if we are looking out for more, than the game play needs to have more variation.

Nonetheless, the combination of image and sound works well to bring the game to life. I’m still a little confused about the Simon Says angle, but that should not deter anyone who is looking for a little seductive game on the iPhone that helps improve memory too.
