The key to unlocking JoinMe is co-operation. We need to send an invitation to connect to the person that we want to track via email. He has to accept the invite in order for us to share information about each other’s whereabouts. Notifications to invite are received through both email and JoinMe if the person has it open on his device. Both the persons need to create Mobya accounts to use the application and preferably GPS for more convenience.

JoinMe enables us to see where both persons are on a map in real time. We can zoom in and out on the map by pinching or tapping on the screen. It even tells the distance apart and how fast the person is moving, so that we also have an idea of how long it will take for him to reach us. In the settings, we can decide whether we want the distance information to be in miles or kilometers. We can also choose whether we wants only notifications or both email and notifications.

All the people that we have invited get automatically added to a list, and we can refer to it for quick access if we want to connect to them again. WE can even edit the list and change the order of the contacts.

JoinMe surely saves a lot of phone calls trying to find out how soon or late somebody is going to turn up. It also saves stress and a lot of crazy thoughts going through the head during the waiting period. It’s fun too, so on the whole, it is a great application to have on our iPhones.
