Battle Trivia – sports quiz matchup is played head on between two players, so this is quite a direct challenge if ever I saw one. And now to get down to the nitty gritty details of the fight…

To get the game going, we need to create a profile for ourselves, and so does the opponent. The process is as simple as entering our names in the slots given. There can be up to eight existing profiles, and we don’t need to worry about deleting profiles every time we play against a new player.

There are eight diverse categories, and so our favorite categories are bound to be among them. There is Fighting, Olympics, Baseball, Hockey, Entertainment, College Football and College Basketball. But if we don’t know zilch about a certain category, we can choose to remove it from the list in the settings.

The player who wins a tie-breaker question gets the first turn at the quiz. We can choose which category to go for from among three random categories. We can lock the category when we are able to answer two questions. We need to move the marker to our side to gain a point, but since the opponent can also move the marker back, it can be quite a battle for a single point.

The question come with four multiple choices for the answers, and when we choose the correct answer, the tab turns green in color, and red if it is incorrect. There is a timer tab at the bottom of the screen, and we can set the duration of the timer according to our convenience. These features to customize both the timer and categories is a big plus point in Battle Trivia. The game play also does not disappoint with the wide range of questions and categories, though the latter tends to focus more on American sports.

The graphics are not all that great, but it doesn’t matter much as it is a trivia game. The important bit is that it lives up to its claim of being a battle at trivia with the edge of competition to it; there are over 1000 questions waiting for us, so this is going to be one grueling and exciting battle.
