Blowing bubbles has never been this exciting, or this interesting. BubbleFly from Treemo Labs uses the iPhone’s accelerometer with great skill to bring us a game that will have us hooked for a long time to come.

The game play is uncomplicated and quite a relief from all the tapping and sliding that most games demand of us. To start blowing a bubble, we just have to dip our iPhone, and that takes care of dipping our wand into bubble juice. Then we can touch the wand and hold it as long as we want to depending on how large we want the bubble to be. Or better still, we can blow into the microphone to have the same effect. I think this is a more fun way of blowing the bubbles.

And then we simply need to use the iPhone’s natural accelerometer to guide the bubble into one of the rings at the opposite end of the screen. All the rings have different point values, so to score big we need to aim for the more valuable rings.

BubbleFly has a global leaderboard, so we can display our bubble blowing skills for the entire world to see. We can also have our own personal profiles so we know how well or bad we are doing. And if we want to take things a bit further on the competition scene, we can join in and play the Tourney. All we need to do it to register once for all these features.

The best way to describe BubbleFly would be to say that it is fun, right from the game play to the graphics itself which are based on a carnival theme. It is not a very tough game, and yet it can be a little tricky guiding the bubbles. Check it out, and you might just find yourself blowing your way to the top of the leaderboard with this one.
