Bust A Word from Calculator Games tests our word building skills, or, in this case, word busting skills. It is not a complicated game, and the task at hand is to create words out of the given letters. The letters are arranged in a grid which looks very similar to Scrabble. They also have specific values like in the popular word game.

The important thing to remember is to use the BUST! tab once we come up with a word. Busting a word makes it disappear from the screen, plus it adds to our score and also increases the time limit that we have.

We can score more than the allotted value for each tile when they are colored blue and red. The blue colored tiles make the score twice the amount, while the red colored tiles multiply it a whooping five times over.

The screen does not clear at anytime, for it fills up instantly when the number of letters on the screen is less than four or five letters. But our game is up if the timer runs out, and also if we choose to cop out of the game. I would suggest that we do this only if we can’t think of any more words to create. The good bit is that even when we choose the Time Out option, we don’t go empty-handed, for the remaining time is added to our score.

Bust A Word might not fall into the addictive category for me, but it is a pretty decent word game guaranteed to drive boredom away.
