The simplicity of this game is just so striking, because there is nothing more to it than a single rule, and yet it works beautifully. In Christmas Balls BOOM, all we have to do is to find out four balls making up the corners of a triangle among rows of balls.

We need to keep in mind that these four balls have to be of the same type, for there are balls of different colors. Once we have identified the four corners by tapping on them, the whole rectangle breaks and the rows of balls shift position accordingly.

There are two game modes to choose from, Classic and Timed, which are quite self-explanatory. If we are stuck in the game and can’t see any rectangle however much we concentrate, we can use the hint option to bail us out.

The larger a rectangle we are able to spot, the more points we score. And if something else needs our attention when we are engrossed in playing, we can pause the game and resume it later. The game play may sound very simple, but it can be deceptive, for sometimes I found my eyes darting all over the place in vain. The types of balls increase as we go up the levels, and it can get trickier. The graphics are fun and colorful with the inevitable glittery Christmas balls.

Christmas Balls BOOM is an interesting puzzle game to pick up anytime we are bored. It doesn’t require much hard work and yet is lots of fun. Sometimes simplicity works best.
