CampusBooks.com Inc. claims that with iBookStore, we save time and money. I would like to add a quality to it – energy. What else can I say when this single application lets me find and buy any book I want at the best (read cheapest) rates, and sell off my own books at the best (read highest) rates, and lots more.

iBookstore also lets us do a new-fangled act by taking out our iPhones whenever we spy a book that we desire, aim its camera at the barcode and do a quick scan of it to access the book’s details. This scanning magic comes to us courtesy Pic2Shop technology, and finding ‘the’ book becomes a breeze with this feature.

The simple and clean interface of iBookStore opens up to reveal a search tab with options for Advanced Search and ISBN Scan. Once we enter in a book’s ISBN, title, author or keyword, and tap on Search, we can see the list of books that we can check out in a swipe motion. If we see a book that we like in the search results, we can add it to our Wishlist or Collection, both represented by tabs on the upper part of the screen.

There is also a tab that takes us to details of the book. On either side of this are the Buy and Sell tabs, both serving their own specific purposes with very good deals as mentioned before.

In case we do not have a particular book in mind but is looking out for a new interesting read, or maybe scouring for a gift, we can make use of the Top Titles tab to check out the best selling books in various categories. We can find books ranging in topics from Travel and Mystery to Nature and Families. We can also look for books according to awards such as the Booker, Caldecott medal, National Book Award, etc.

The My Bookbag tab contains the books that we have added to our Wishlist and Collection. The Search, Top Titles, Awards and Bookbag tabs are located at the bottom of the screen, so using any of these features entails a simple touch of the finger.

And that is what is so striking about iBookStore – the simplicity with which it offers us such great service at absolutely no cost at all. Buying and selling books was never as easy as this, and it is a veritable book world right in the palms of our hands.
