Vector Runner is a high-adrenaline rush iPhone game

I dare not even blink my eyes while playing this one. It is so fast paced and requires automatic reflexive response that I might just crash into an obstacle or miss a powerup while wasting time blinking. Vector Runner is a 3D racing game with a cool retro theme. I found the graphics to be clean-looking and very slick.

The premise of the game is very simple; we have to steer our racer and try to avoid hitting the obstacles while trying to pick up as many powerups as we can. The controls are a breeze too, and we just have to touch the edges of the device with our thumbs to steer.

The powerups have got different abilities. Some of them come with bumper points, while others give invincibility or regenerate the racer shield. Vector Runner can get really crazy once we get going. We need to be smart at the controls because the obstacles come looming in our way too often for our comfort.

We can submit our scores to know where we stand on the local and global leaderboards. For the global highscores, we can track the scores for the day, the week and also all time rankings. Vector Runner also has an exciting soundtrack that is a perfect complement to the thrilling game play.

In case you find the game to be familiar, there was an online version of it released in 2007. I’m sure that dedicated fans would be delighted to find it on the iPhone.
