I don’t know about you, but there are so many times that I have been e-mailing or typing out a message, and I have gone “Wow! I am so fast; I must be the fastest typist in the world!” Well, here is an application to find out if I am really the faster, or whoever is, if not me.

Charles Jamerlan has come up with an application called Finger Maniac where speed and accuracy are the topmost requirements. It has two different kinds of game modes to up the typing challenge. We can go for the Speed Mode where we need to type out the alphabet as fast as we can. We ought to be careful here though, for if we slip up and make a mistake, we lose points.

Or we can go for the Arcade Mode which throws up several words that we have to type out correctly during the given time. There are levels to this mode, and the words get longer and more difficult as we progress through them. We are also given the liberty of choosing the level of difficulty; Normal, Hard, Maniac and Extreme.

A personal hint here; we better not be too fast that we don’t touch the keys properly and they don’t register. At times I was typing the letters game so fast that I would triumphantly press ‘Z’ and think I am done, only to see that I got stuck at some other letter down the ranks. Or it could mean that I am just too fast for Finger Maniac. Lol.

The coolest part about this game is that we get to compare scores with other players around the world and on a local level. After all, this is all about competition and being the fastest. Another plus point is the graphics; I like the whole pencil sketch look Jamerlan has used. Finger Maniac is an unusual game that is fun and entertaining. I can feel typing glory-dom beckoning me.
