If there is one superpower that I wish for, it would be for the ability to read minds. I think it would be so much easier for me to deal with people in any sphere of life. I would then be able to gauge their reactions to anything I say or do, and act accordingly. Such a swell thought!
The PAR Group has blessed us with something similar to this otherwise unattainable power on the iPhone. iPAR MindReader gives us guidelines to read others so that we can have a productive interaction with each other. The application is laid out in simple steps that we can follow and use easily.
There are three main attitudes listed in iPAR MindReader – Positive, Neural and Negative. We can choose the one that we think the person we are communicating with is exhibiting. Once we do that, it opens up to reveal clues to pinpoint his feelings. For instance, Positive could be Confident, Enthused, Interested or Reserved. Choosing one of these clues again leads us to more indications of what the other person is thinking, complete with verbal and non-verbal clues.
The application does not stop at simply giving us a heads-up on reading a person, but also ways on how to deal with the situation. It gives tips on how to go about it, as well as sample statements. iPAR MindReader also includes a video on business decision making, a product of no less than Nobel Prize supported research. I was just a little confused about where the video is located, but finally found it through the More button.
iPAR MindReader is a unique application that will help us get ahead in life faster and easier if we use it with dedication. It is something that sort of gives us a sixth sense when dealing with people, and a very useful one at that.
