iPhone 4 pre-orders start from June 15 and purchase from June 24

The excitement builds for the most talked about gadget of the year the iPhone 4 as it will be up for pre-orders from June 15th as confirmed by Best Buy. The pre-sales for your iPhone can be placed at Best Buy or any Best Buy Mobile Standalone store within US tomorrow and the actual purchase of the device will start from June 24.

This confirmed announcement of the iOS 4 featured iPhone 4 sends out clear message to iPhone developers to get their iOS 4 compatible applications submitted to the appstore in time to get their applications up front. The other company which will also be carrying the iPhone 4 from 24th June is Walmart. However the company will not be taking any pre-orders.

Earlier Apple sent out e-mails to all iPhone developers about their acceptance towards iOS 4 compatible apps for the appstore which was a move probably to get the appstore filled before the actual sale starts. The new Apple iPhone will come in black or white and costs $199 for a 16GB version and $299 for 32GB. The iPhone 4 will be available in target markets like US, France, Germany, Japan, and the UK on June 24th while the rest of the world will have to wait till mid July.
