The game starts with an introductory story line and carries it forward in each scene of the game. Each scene in the game brings new challenges and with the progress you will face enemies with higher difficulty and aggression. The game has lot of things to teach, new kind of attacks, combos, and improving over your reflexes to quickly target and destroy enemies.
No bells and whistles here, just pure action. Like many other first person shooters you will not see the action through the view finder of the gun. The action is simple, here the point and shoot controls are replaced with the friendlier tap to shoot. So pointing and shooting a pirate is achieved by just tapping on him. But the simpler controls don’t necessarily mean that the game becomes a child play. As your enemies get more aggressive and tough, you may need to shoot some extra bullets to clear them off your way and while you do this you need to reload your shotgun and be able to distinguish civilians from pirates.
For every pirate you kill, and the progress you make in the game you are awarded gold for your progress. This gold can be used for buying power-ups like auto-reload, multiplying damage to enemies, extra armor and many more useful add-ons in the game. The campaign mode is enjoyable the way it takes you to different scenes along with the story while the survival mode is an endless challenge where you beat your own high-scores and achievements.
If you are like many other impatient gamers who hate to wait before replaying a level after defeat, iTapPirate will not make you sick of loading screen. iTapPirate is a wonderful game to fire up for some quick action waiting at a coffee shop for your friend or just to refresh and energize you on a short break from work and studies.
