Tell us a little about you, and your current company.
My name is Owen Hunte, I'm Trinidadian-born but moved to the UK over 20 years ago and I've started Appnoose Ltd to develop Apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Appnoose is a think tank really. I don't actually programme myself, I come up with the application concept and then relay them to my designer and programmer who are based in Belarus and Austin,Texas respectively. I've never actually spoken to either of them on the phone. This whole Read More...
True to the pre-Apple special music event rumors and expectations, iTunes 9.0, iPhone OS 3.1, iPod touch and iPod nano with camera were announced on that lucky Wednesday.
With iPhone OS 3.1 Apple added some handy features and we also got bugs, too as usual. iTunes 9.0 brought a bunch of new features too, but while talking about major features, most of us didn't care whether the social networking capability was added in the update.
Apple did integrated the social networking feature in the update, which I seriously feel is placed in a corner where no one would ever notice. This is Read More...

I am 24 years old, and I’ve been in the IT for over 9 years now. Earlier this year, I’ve decided to start developing for the iPhone, and that’s how Cramzy came out. Me and my girlfriend- Maria, who is a professional QA, founded Cramzy in March 2009, though from a legal perspective it was actually registered in early July 2009. The ideology behind Cramzy is that we do products that we enjoy to use, and we do our Read More...
Ahem! Steve Jobs have talked again and this time it's something good that we all yearned hearing long time back. It's about the much talked Apple Tablet.
This abrasive Apple icon talks only when the situation darn pressing and urgent. Back in January, 2009 when the rumors of his illness was all over the Internet, Bloomsberg's reporter caught him unaware on his home phone prying about the matter. The response was something like, why don't you leave me alone?
Well, all those speculations were not wrong. Steve Jobs indeed underwent a liver transplant.
Recently there have been a lot of rumors circulating about Read More...
Hmm, thought MMS exploit and deleted e-mail bug would be the last things I would hear about iPhone OS 3.0 issues. It was destined to be so, if I didn't stumble upon this insightful write up.
I am kinda fancying developers were afraid of Apple invoking the SDK agreement if they blurt out about this problem. Well, this doesn't seem to me like a minor problem (that deserve silence) even though I don't know the nuts and bolts of developing an iPhone game/app.
Thanks to Rama Krishna from iPhone Developer Labs for giving a detail explanation of the 'known bug' (so replied Read More...
By now you probably have heard a lot about Khalid Shaikh who deployed 900 plus iPhone applications in a span of 9 months to the App Store. Apple suddenly revoked his Developer's License one fine day (24 July) and also asked the developer to remove all his applications from the App Store.
The reason Apple cited for this drastic move is copyright infringement in most of his applications. I was very unlucky like many of you; we were not able to try one of those applications to say what Apple claims is really true. However, many reports confirmed that most of those Read More...

We've heard of an iPod exploding in a pant pocket, burning a car recently, and many other iPod exploding news. This one, which happened just few days back is the scariest so far.
Technology Timesonline has this report that a man from Liverpool, Ken Stanborough dropped his daughter's iPod touch, heard a hissing sound when he picked up the device and felt the device getting hotter. Acting on impulse, Stanborough threw the device out of the window and the iPod reportedly exploded after 30 seconds. The impact of the explosion threw the device 10 feet in the air.

What are the chances of finding an iPhone application for which you either don't know or have forgotten the name of the app and the developer? Browse all the categories and sub categories? That's a hell lot of effort, but the result could still be disappointing as the chances of not finding the particular app is greater than finding it so easily.
More than 65,000 application under 20 categories, browsing to find the best is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Some time back, Tim Cook hinted that search option in the App Store would be made easier, well, Read More...
App Store is a place where all of us have faced at least one inconvenience as a developer or as a simple iPhone user. Do not try to contradict me here as I have tons of evidence to prove my point. This write up exposes the other side of the App Store success story, where we have more than 65,000 unhappy applications, more than 100,000 unsatisfied developers and more than 45 million pissed off iPod touch and iPhone users.
The root cause of all resentments with App Store is Apple's opaque like relationship with iPhone app developers and iPhone users. For Read More...
