I came across a very strange discussion thread on Macrumors; it's about Apple Store not willing to replace OS 3.0 beta bricked iPhone. Why strange? The device is said to be a registered device and the commenter a registered developer and most of all the device is still covered under Apple warranty.
What would you do if you were that person? Downgrade the device to 2.2.1? With an unresponsive home button, it's unimaginable to put the device in DFU mode to downgrade. Yell at the employees? It won't help. Or the best solution, use the device as the costliest Apple supplied Read More...
With the Holiday shopping season approaching fast, we are hearing a very hot rumor again about the never coming iPhone 32GB. We are tired of hearing about this right? Nevertheless, we still love to hear time and again of this late comer.
With the 8GB model reportedly running out of stock, it sounds somewhat realistic to expect the coming of the 32GB. This we know is the strategy Apple has been following for long. If a stock runs out and the shipping somehow appears to have stopped, that is the time we started waiting for a new comer. This is the Read More...
Apple on Friday 19, September 2008, announced free replacement of power adapters for iPhone users in the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Latin American countries due to shock risk of the adapter that comes with the 3G iPhone.
Though there are no reports about any injuries caused because of the adapter, the announcement outlines that under certain conditions the USB power adapter metal prongs can snap and remain in the power outlet leaving a live exposed metal that poses shock to users.

Sad news for all of us who have not managed to purchase the 3G iPhone. Waiting for a week to let the crowd thin down was a bad idea after all. Jim Neal reports that 117 iPhone outlets have completely run out of stock. Out of the 188 iPhone outlets only 27 stores have all the 3 models and 44 stores have some models left (you don’t seem to have much choice here).
Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin Read More...
I have seen long queues outside Apple stores, when the iPhone was launched last year. And also have seen people thronging the corridor of Apple stores when the iPhone was supposedly out of stock in May. We are never tired of waiting when we are sure that we are going to get something worth the effort. This is totally new, people have gone a step forward from the normal convention. Here in Sydney, a new trend has just started. There was this new Apple Store just opened. And you know what? Many people had already gathered before the door was Read More...
