Recently Apple has put up a countdown page that displays the download of iPhone and iPod touch applications from the App Store. Application download is nearing one billion mark. The download rate per second is impressive, check out here. The App Store launch is still shy of one year and this is an extraordinary feat for Apple. This is a sales stunt.
