I do sometimes envy when I see iPhone 3GS owners taking video recordings with their devices, when they show off the compass application and so on. However, I have not changed my decision not to upgrade very soon. While you'll find many proud and happy iPhone 3GS users, seems there are as many unhappy lots too.
There are many complaints surfacing on the Internet that the iPhone 3GS battery isn't up to the mark. Some users are even claiming that the iPhone 3G battery turn out to be better than that of the new iPhone 3GS. It is hard to judge though.

To let the world know that the third coming of the iPhone is near and that Steve Jobs is also returning soon, Apple is offering buy online option for the iPhone. This latest offer allows customers to order an iPhone directly from Apple Online Store and get the device shipped to their doors absolutely free of cost.
Earlier, customers have to go through verification process, select a data plan and get the device finally from the nearest Apple Store. This latest development, as I have said is nothing but a desperate bit to clear the present iPhone inventory in view of the Read More...
How many of you would buy an iPhone if Apple or AT&T were to announce "Buy one get one FREE" offer. Yes, I see millions of raised hands out there. This is what exactly Verizon did with the BlackBerry phones when the handsets were not selling good. I say it's a good business strategy to force people spend when there is credit crunch. Apple might never do this though.
The aggressive buy one get one free offer on BlackBerries has turn out good for both RIM and Verizon. BlackBerry Curve has become the best selling smartphone in the US leaving the Read More...

According to a Piper Jaffray analysis, Apple has already sold a staggering 5 million iPhones in the current quarter. We do not yet have the official Apple words for checking these numbers. (Apple will be doing that probably in a month’s time, during their Quarter 4 report)
Apple’s original goal of selling 10 million no longer seems another fantastic boast. This figure alone puts the total iPhone sales at a stunning 7.5 million iPhones for the year (taking in count the 2.5 million original iPhone’s sold before the launch of the iPhone 3G).
The holiday sales are yet to start. As well Read More...
Even as part of the rest of the world warms up for iPhone launch, here is a quick look at where the first 1 million iPhones went. (source: Medialet)
Among the 22 countries where the iPhone 3G was launched initially, US topped the chart with a reported sale of over 600,000 units. Japan was a surprising second place holder, though a distant second, with 70,000 units. Germany and France follow Japan closely with the sales of 69,000 and 67,000 units respectively. Spain comes fifth with 55,000 unit sales. The last major sales place was the UK with 29,000 units. Ireland, New Read More...
On second thoughts, maybe not. Damon Poeter impersonates an Apple hater and writes about the miserable failure that Apple’s iPhone 3G launch has been. It’s a clever satire. Here’s a sample or two:
Despite massive hype surrounding Apple's launch of its 3G iPhone last Friday, some 6.7 billion people around the world opted against purchasing one over the weekend.
“[T]he new iPhone 3G is clearly off to a great start around the world," Jobs said Sunday, putting a brave face on the epic fail of the first weekend's sales figures.
Clever, yes. But check the comments on the page. Most people were genuinely Read More...

In this column, we’ll file all such predictions as they come in, and you’ll be able to find them by date or by analyst, and also see for yourself how the predictions actually panned out.
