If you are an iPhone owner, this piece of news would make you want to sign up for MobileMe right away. However, if you are a mugger who's fond of looting or stealing things from people, this news is a warning: Never try to steal/loot Apple's iPhone in this lifetime.
One of the handy features that came with iPhone OS 3.0 was Find My iPhone that works with MobileMe. The feature lets you detect the exact location of your iPhone when you misplace it or is stolen. You can also remotely delete the content on your phone after logging in to Read More...
I have cited earlier that you have to be a MobileMe user or at least have to sign up if you want to use 'Find My iPhone' that comes with iPhone OS 3.0.
Here are the steps to enable the feature on the iPhone:
1. Go to Setting page on your iPhone
2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Enter your MobileMe web page
3. Once inside, there is an on/off switch for Find My iPhone, which you have to toggle on.
Once this is done you have to log into your MobileMe web page. After signing in, if you click on the accounts icon, you'll Read More...
I don't know why I clapped my hands absentmindedly when Scott Forstall announced Find My iPhone feature that's coming with the iPhone OS 3.0.
The disappointing part is that he didn't say Apple learned from the creator of iHound, Undercover or a bunch of other iPhone tracking apps in the App Store to bring the feature.

Firmware 2.2 just got released, now it’s time again for playing the rumor spreading game. RussianiPhone.ru has gone a step forward; said that they have seen the iPhone 2.2.1 beta. Not a bad time to start spreading a soothing rumor, firmware 2.2.1 comes with Push notification and over-the-air MobileMe syncing with Notes support.
The rumor comes along with iPhone screenshot that displays update badges on the Notes and Calendar application icons (believed to be 100% fake).
Well, Push Notification support was expected long ago. The rumor of Push notification feature for the originated from one of those make believe Steve Jobs mail Read More...
Looks like developers are seriously slogging to see MobileMe replicated with better applications, there's SugarSync (which we covered earlier) and now we have another alternative in the form of MailPronto.
The company is offering hosted e-mail, managed e-mail services similar to MobileMe as it claims to offer real time email exchange enabling instantaneous and seamless emailing . It is based on the Microsoft Hosted Exchange platform and an email box costs $ 8.95 per month. It stores calendar, contact information and email related matter on it's online server.
Users after doing research, find this as a better option as they have a Read More...
Reading the 10 page lawsuit of that Alabama Woman filed against Apple for iPhone 3G connectivity issues, I just missed to write about Apple extending 60 more days of free MobileMe Service to users. In the end, it was frustrating to know that the whole lawsuit business is a problem with the carriers and not with the chipset or antenna as speculated.
However, as a tribute to how much Apple is concerned about its customers and how earnestly it addresses customer issues, Geekculture guys have done this neat job.
This is the root of creativity and Apple, for now is the boiling Read More...
