Apple is in a good mood possibly because of the upcoming launch of a new iPhone hardware. The company is willing to replace water damaged iPhones under a new policy. Not sure, whether they'll replace water damaged plus broken screen iPhone I have at home though.
The new policy is a blessing for people who have out of warranty water damaged iPhones lying at home. I see this move as a desperate step to run dry the existing iPhone inventory in view of the expected launch of the new iPhone.

AT&T sources have confirmed that it is upgrading it existing wireless network in view of the launch of the next generation iPhone expected in mid 2009. This is the third major upgrade the company is going to implement as the official iPhone carrier in the US. The launch of the first generation iPhone was preceded by the company upgrading its whole Edge network and the iPhone 3G was launched after the company upgraded their network to 3G spectrum.
This time the company is planning to double its existing downlink capacity of its high-speed packet access (HSPA) 3.6 megabits per second Read More...
Total twist to our assumptions about the next generation iPhone, a Chinese site is reporting that Apple would be launching not only one version but three version of the iPhones in mid 2009.
Digitimes also has come up with the list of component suppliers for the upcoming iPhone versions. The list was furnished by Industry sources in Taiwan.
Among the major suppliers, are Samsung, Toshiba, Infineon, OmniVision, Largan Precision, etc.
OmniVision is supplying the 3.2 megapixel CIS and Largan Precision is supplying other camera components for the next iPhone upgrade.

When Steve Jobs was ousted from Apple back in the 80's, he said he felt so disappointed. Nothing could be more embarrassing than being yanked out of a Company one founded. Steve Jobs in his speech delivered to Stanford University graduates said, " I thought of running away from the valley, but something slowly began to dawn on me, I still love what I did." This is one secret why he came back in 1997 and Apple again became a name to reckon. That was Steve Jobs and he still is the same guy.

If you have always wanted to own a legally unlocked iPhone 3G in the US, it is now possible to get one right away. Buy.com is offering legally unlocked iPhone 3G at $799. The unlocked device can be used on any of the GSM networks operating in the US.
I am sure, AT&T is not very happy about this latest development. Apple would be launching a new iPhone 3G this summer and the offering of never locked iPhones suggest that the company is trying every possible means to finish selling the iPhone 3G in stock.
The legally unlocked device can also be Read More...
'Seeing is believing,' so says the old cliche. I am dog tired of reporting about the next generation iPhone and about the bundle of features coming with it. Wish WWDC 2009 was scheduled earlier than June or at least the present time is already June. Nevertheless, here is good news. It's almost certain that video recording and voice dialing are coming with the next generation iPhone.
Fresh photo evidence within iPhone OS 3.0 beta (un)officially has confirmed the seriousness of Apple to bring these most wanted features. With this, there also is a rumor that front facing camera is likely to come with Read More...
If this is the next generation iPhone, I won't buy it until someone comes and tell me it does have a battery and a better camera. Looks too slim and very unrealistic. Gizmodo has posted pictures of the next gen iPhone with super sharp edges with the middle part bulging out.
The conceptualized next gen iPhone is shaped like the new range of iPod touch with curved edges. On serious consideration I'd say Apple is not likely to change the design much at the hardware front.
Flash support would be a welcome note though. And yes, longer battery life would be the Read More...
The biggest rumor in the blogo-sphere these days is about the next generation of iPhones. What will the next generation of iPhones look like? What will be their features? Will it be a iPhone nano? Even the cases for the proposed iPhone nano arrived briefly.
However, Apple has so far rubbished all these as rumors and nothing yet has arrived so far from Cupertino.
However, come June, we will probably see some major changes in the iPhone hardware. It seems that the MacRumors has got a peek into something solid.
MacRumors has discovered that Apple's iPhone 2.x Firmware contains evidence of the next Read More...
