On a very optimistic note I do want to charge my phone (iPhone) anywhere with any phone charger. It's a wild dream for now, but come January 2012, if what the 17 mobile operators and manufacturers' commitment comes true we'll see only one common charger for all mobile phones on this earth. It is not yet absolutely certain since the guys concerned, Qualcomm, have not yet commented on anything. But as is the general norm in the blog-o-sphere, silence generally turns out to be true.
