I don't know why I clapped my hands absentmindedly when Scott Forstall announced Find My iPhone feature that's coming with the iPhone OS 3.0.  The disappointing part is that he didn't say Apple learned from the creator of iHound, Undercover or a bunch of other iPhone tracking apps in the App Store to bring the feature.  These third party applications also track down lost iPhones provided the finder accidentally or intentionally opens any of the tracking applications. Apple has done it again. Recently the company announced that it has become the number one distributor of flashlight and calculator applications through the App Store. Scott Forstall, Senior Vice President of iPhone software said that 20 million flashlight and calculator applications were downloaded in October, 2008. He termed this as a rare feat for the Company.
